David McCoy: PastorDavid McCoy is the founding pastor of Ambassador Christian Church. After several years in the secular work place, he enrolled in Ozark Christian College, Joplin, Missouri, graduating in 1988 with a Bachelor of Biblical Literature degree. While a senior at Ozark, David began preaching at the Mound Valley Christian Church, Mound Valley, Kansas from 1986 until 1993. His last two years at Mound Valley, David also preached at the Pleasant Hill Community Church in rural Parsons, Kansas. After preaching at the Galesburg Christian Church, Galesburg Kansas from 1993 to 1998, David followed his long-time dream of planting a church in his hometown of Chanute, Kansas. David has been married to his wife Nancy for 33 years and they raised three sons who are married, who are likewise graduates of Ozark Christian College and who are also serving in the ministry. God has so far blessed David and Nancy with four precious grandchildren.


Daniel McCoy: Associate MinisterDaniel McCoy has been Ambassador’s associate minister of music and youth since summer of 2005. He graduated from Ozark Christian College in 2007 with a Bachelor of Theology in New Testament studies. One year later, he married fellow Ozark graduate Susanna Lang, and they began their life together in Chanute, KS, while he continued working as associate minister at Ambassador and as language arts and Bible teacher at the Chanute Christian Academy. In March of 2009, Daniel and Susanna had a beautiful daughter, Beth. Daniel likes to read, teach, preach, play music, and write—basically all the things he gets paid to do. Here at Ambassador, he oversees the worship ministry, Connect, and small groups. He is currently pursuing a masters degree from Veritas Evangelical Seminary.
