Small Groups

Here at Ambassador, we want to take seriously Jesus’ words, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” We want to be a group of people who “forgive each other” (Eph. 4:32), “bear one another’s burdens” (Gal. 6:2), and “encourage one another” (Heb. 3:13). The Apostle Paul painted a picture of the church we want to be when he wrote, “…Speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up…being fitted and held together” (Eph. 4:15-16). Put simply, as we grow in our love for God, we want to grow in our love for each other. We want to take God’s Word seriously and become a community of loving spouses, devoted parents, caring neighbors, productive citizens, and true friends.

So how do we get there? Well, we can’t become that loving community unless we spend time together. That’s why we desire that “Ambassadors” join a small group. A small group is a group of 6-12 people who meet together, usually in someone’s home, for the purpose of growing closer to God and to each other. Each small group typically meets once a week. There are two seasons the small groups are offered—from January to May and from September to December. Besides focusing on the specific subject matter of the group, the group will regularly pray with one another, serve in the community in some way, and provide care for those in the group when it is needed.
